McColl Music was created by Alastair McColl, who has spent more than 30 years teaching Music and Music Technology to children and young people aged 5–18.
Alastair graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, with a Bachelor of Education in Music with Honours, specialising in composition. Throughout his teaching career, he has written songs specifically for children – music that is enjoyable to sing while helping reinforce important ideas and learning concepts.
